Wallet-control scams
Wallet scams target the recovery phrase, private key or a malicious transaction approval. These credentials can give another party direct access to a wallet. They must never be shared with a card service, support account, merchant or browser form.
Card-payment scams
Card scams may target card details, one-time codes, a fake checkout or a fraudulent support conversation. They often aim to create an unauthorised payment or persuade you to send funds. Use card details only in a verified checkout you initiated.
One rule for both
- Do not act on urgency from an unsolicited message.
- Verify domains, account names and official links independently.
- Do not give remote access to your device.
- Use official card controls and support routes when something is wrong.
A card issue can never require a recovery phrase. That single fact can stop many wallet-related scams.
